Ingredients:
- 2 steaks (such as ribeye or New York strip)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Add the steaks to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness.
- Remove the steaks from the skillet and set aside to rest.
- In the same skillet, add the garlic and butter. Cook over low heat until the garlic is fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Spoon the garlic butter over the steaks and serve immediately.
Notes:
- Use a heavy-bottomed skillet for even heat distribution.
- Let the steaks rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute.
