Pan-Seared Steak with Garlic Butter

Pan-Seared Steak with Garlic Butter

Ingredients:

  • 2 steaks (such as ribeye or New York strip)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Add the steaks to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness.
  4. Remove the steaks from the skillet and set aside to rest.
  5. In the same skillet, add the garlic and butter. Cook over low heat until the garlic is fragrant, about 1 minute.
  6. Spoon the garlic butter over the steaks and serve immediately.

Notes:

  • Use a heavy-bottomed skillet for even heat distribution.
  • Let the steaks rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute.
